Cuban and Mongolian authorities take steps towards cooperation
Ulaanbaatar, April 30 (RHC) Authorities of Cuba and Mongolia agreed to carry out actions to promote mutual knowledge of the potential for business and cooperation in various sectors, official sources reported today.
In this regard, the Cuban ambassador to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, and Nyambaatar Khishgee, governor and mayor of Ulaanbaatar, agreed on the mutual interest in linking both nations through collaboration in health, tourism, and biotechnology. They also discussed School No. 52 of the Mongolian capital that bears the name of the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí.
At the meeting, the mayor-governor presented the development policies of Ulaanbaatar in order to turn it into a smart city, oriented towards ecological development, friendly to citizens, with a healthy, safe, well-governed and economically viable business environment.
Meanwhile, the Cuban diplomat thanked Khishgee for his contribution during his term as Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia in the finalization of two mutual legal assistance agreements signed in Havana last March. (Source: PL)
