Havana, July 27 (RHC)-- On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks, the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) is undertaking the International Hands Off Cuba Campaign.
The WFTU, which brings together 105 million members in 133 countries, has called on all affiliated organizations in the world to express their solidarity with the Cuban people, with protests in front of American embassies on all continents, against the economic, financial and commercial blockade that the U.S. government has maintained against the island for more than 60 years.
Ernesto Freyre Cabañas, regional general secretary of the WFTU, said that in these demonstrations they will also demand the removal of Cuba from the list unilaterally invented by the United States of supposed countries promoting terrorism, as well as the cessation of media propaganda against the island.
The WFTU will also pay tribute to the heroes and martyrs of July 26th and will highlight the example for the world of the Cuban Revolution.
