The delegation was headed by five-time Olympic champion Mijaín López, the protagonist of a unique feat in the arenas under the five rings, where he has put the name of Cuba on the high podium.

After the initial minutes on Cuban soil, the official welcome ceremony was held, also full of emotions, on the eve of the 98th anniversary of the birth of the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, architect of the development of the sports movement in the country.
Once the activity is over, the athletes will tour the capital's arteries that will lead them to La Piragua, an emblematic site in front of the Havana Malecón, where the people will express all the pride they feel for the efforts of their athletes in Paris 2024, and the medals they now display on their chests.
