Bayamo, November 17 (RHC)-- More than one hundred educational facilities in the province of Granma were affected by the earthquakes that occurred in the territory last Sunday, which led the direction of that sector in the province, together with its territorial structures, to implement several alternatives that favor the educational teaching process.
The most important of these are the reordering of classes in the premises of the centers themselves which were not damaged by the earthquakes, while in some districts spaces within the community are used, and in other cases the teachers lent their homes so as not to stop classes.
To date, it is known that schools in 11 of the 13 municipalities suffered partial and severe damages, mainly those belonging to primary education, being this the most affected.
The highest number of damages were recorded in the areas of Media Luna, Campechuela and Pilón in that same order, with damage to light roofs and cracking of walls.
Parents, teachers, students and residents in each community are working on recovery actions that will gradually restore normality to each school in Granma.
