Havana, Dec 30 (RHC) The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz, expressed his congratulations to his counterpart in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Pak Thae Song, according to the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He also confirmed the island’s commitment to further enhancing the long-standing friendly ties between the two countries and their peoples.
Pak Thae Song has been appointed as the new prime minister of the nation at an Expanded Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Cuba and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea established diplomatic ties on August 29, 1960. Since then, they have maintained a friendship based on mutual esteem and support, as stated by the leaders of both nations.
