Havana, April 24 (RHC)-- Cuba has signed new cooperation agreements with Eritrea, the Republic of Congo and Cape Verde, thus further expanding and strengthening its medical cooperation with those African countries.

The accords were signed by Cuban Health Minister Roberto Morales Ojeda and his visiting counterparts from the three African countries, in the framework of the International Convention on Public Health CUBASALUD 2015.

The agreements focus mainly on cooperation in the fields of medical equipment, health tourism, the training of human resources in health, technology transfer and pharmaceuticals.

The 'Health for All' Trade Fair, a sideline event of the International Convention on Public Health, concluded Thursday here in Havana.

Addressing delegates at the fair's closing ceremony, José Luís Di Fabio, the representative here in Cuba of the World Health Organization and the Pan-American Health Organization, praised the Cuba healthcare system, particularly the island's primary healthcare program.
