Brasilia to Exhibit Works of Relevant Cuban Artists

Brasilia, August 1 (PL-RHC)-- Works by Manuel Lopez Oliva, Flora Fong, Moises Finalé and Luis E. Camejo, icons of Cuban art, will be presented as part of the exhibition "Miradas", to be opened on August 10th at the Cultural Center of Deputies in Brasilia.

The exhibition will remain open until September 5th –- coinciding with the first anniversary of the opening of the Havana gallery Artis 718, of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets -- co-sponsor of this exhibition.

Cuban young artists Eduardo Ruben Garcia, Jose Omar Torres, Rigoberto Mena, Harold Lopez, Andy Rivero, Lisandra Garcia, David Velazquez, Niels Reyes, Gabriel Sanchez Toledo, Luis Antonio Espinoza and The Merger will also present their works in this exhibition.

"Miradas" aims to provide a compressed view of the diversity of aesthetic perceptions, languages and generations in Cuba, said Romildo Gastao Da Silva, coordinator of the cultural exchange project Viva Arte Viva (VAV), between Cuba and Brazil.

The exhibition will be supplemented by lectures, meetings on the Cuban visual culture and guided visits of collectors and fans of Brasilia.
