Johannesburg, October 12 (RHC)-- Prime Minister Ace Magashule, of the South African province of Free State, has urged the U.S. government to lift their over 50 year-old blockade against Cuba.
In statements to Prensa Latina news agency, the South African politician that lifting the blockade policy would constitute a major step forward towards Cuba's full economic and social development.
The prime minister of the South African province of Free State insisted on the need for a multi-polar world, where the sovereignty and independence of each and every state and people is respected equally.
Regarding bilateral relations with Cuba, the South African politician thanked Cuba for its solidarity and cooperation programs and announced that in the coming days, some 20 Cuban doctors will travel to his province, Free State, to offer their services as part of Cuba's health cooperation initiatives.
He added that he will visit Cuba in November as part of a larger government delegation from South Africa.
