Moscow, October 20 (RHC)-- Russian Defense Minister Serguéi Shoigu expressed his country's interest to strengthen naval cooperation with Cuba in a meeting with Cuban Government Minister Ricardo Cabrisas.
“We are interested on increasing exchange in the naval field,” said Shoigu, according to RIA Novosti news agency. The Russian minister told Cabrisas his ministry is grateful for Cuba's welcome to Russian vessels arriving at Havana port, EFE reported.
“Our military cooperation is very positive,” underlined the Russian defense minister. Shoigu recalled Russia has a great deal of experience on the training of Cuban troops in Russian academies and ratified Moscow's will to continue aiding Cuba on this regard.
